I'm
an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont, and a Fellow at the Gund Institute for Environment. I'm also an Associate Member of the Climate Futures Initiative at Princeton University. During 2018-2019 I'm a Faculty Fellow in Residence at the Edmond J. Safra Center at Harvard University, and during 2019-2020 I'm a Research Fellow at the Centre for Moral Social and Political Theory at the Australian National University.

I often work on interdisciplinary issues in philosophy, public policy, and economics. Current research includes how to evaluate outcomes as better or worse when taking inequalities in wellbeing and population size into account;
environmental justice, health disparities, and other issues in population-level bioethics; sustainable development, environmental economics, and planetary health; global ethics and international institutions; and reasons for action in collective action situations.
